Sacred Medicine of the Black Rose: Initiation

She is the rose who is feared the most, and must only be undertaken if you are called. 

Death and rebirth of the self • Seeing reality for what it is • Release • Self Compassion • Deep nurture • Deep rest  • Restoration • Tranquility • Honouring yourself. 

The black rose if one of darkness and rest. She is the Sacred Darkness, the cosmic womb...from where we all come from and where we shall return. 

She will call upon you to restore your body and your soul. Deep and profound rest is what she brings. With this comes Sacred depth, allowing you to experience love and compassion at a level you have never been able to experience before. 

As you journey with the Black Rose, she may be called to give you the gift of rebirth. In doing so, she connects you with your higher purpose.  

She bestows upon you great insight and wisdom, enabling you to see situations as they really are, and take the steps that are right for you. 🌸

The Black Rose signifies endings and beginnings. 

It is a deeply nurturing journey that allows you to restore and reconnect with who you are. In doing so, you may be gifted with knowing who you are, and releasing what no longer serves you. 

The medicine of this rose is to restore and rest, and through this transformation can begin. We finally do what's right for us...protecting our own light and energy. 

This initiation works with Devine female guides:

• The Black Madonna - the embodiment of divine love and nurture. 
• Demeter — goddess of of harvest and bounty
• Kali — removing what no longer serves us
• Isis - magic and healing
• Hecate— divine guide and bearer of light. She guides us through our rebirth. 

Once restored, you are nurtured as you walk upon your new path.  

How do I describe how very nurturing this initiation is. The feeling of being deeply and profoundly loved and taken care of. As you journey into your initiation, you are deeply held as you transition to rest, and the are reborn into the new. The capacity of self love and compassion is ignited in a new way, enabling you to restore as you embark upon your next path of your journey. 

You will be part of a sacred ceremony, bringing in the energies of Devine beings. Deep healing takes place as the forgiveness unfolds and your light begins to shine brighter. You will feel lighter, happier and deeply loved. 

In the days after the ceremony, you will integrate the healing and higher energies, and the magic continues. You may well be given with greater insight than ever before.  

My favourite of all of the initiations. The energy of the Black Madonna came in with such deep love. I was surrounded by her love and nurture, and I have never felt this kind of love before. So gentle, so nurturing. Deep compassion. I felt so cared for and so seen. My struggles acknowledged, as she took over and guided my rest.  I still feel it right now.  

I had originally intended to take my Red Rose, but was guided to the Black. In the days and months that followed, so many family members got ill or needed help. The navigation of our beloved NHS was difficult. My practical head buzzing with all that was needed, and my heart filled with sadness seeing loved ones this way. But in between all this, I rested. I took time for me. I preserved my energies so that I didn't burn out. The tiredness and stress was profound, as it always will be caring for loved ones, but the desired to nurture and look out for myself was so very strong. I felt nurtured, held and able to care for myself, where before I might have given it my all and a huge price.
